Flight search
As with the other cabins on its long haul aircraft fleet, Cathay Pacific is currently upgrading the seating onboard.
The new First Class cabin provides more space and privacy. As with other first class flat beds on other airlines, seats can be set up in an armchair, chaise longue or bed fashion, and the added comfort of a mattress, duvet and lumbar massage function. Cathay believe their bed is the largest provided on any commercial airline. An ottoman in the suite and an extendable table means you can invite someone to join you for dinner, if you want.
The individual IFE screens are larger than the ones offered in the old product, with AV on demand.
Work surfaces and in-seat power are provided, converting the suite into a workstation.
All cabin baggage can be stowed in the suite itself which is handy.
Old Product
The 'old' first class product was a first class seat with a length of 79 inches, 22 inches wide between the armrests and a bed with a width of 25 inches. It reclines into a fully flat bed. Duvets, pillows and, for the ultimate in slumber comfort, a 'sleepsuit'. IFE through a 10.4" television with noise-cancelling headsets and 'Audio-Video-On-Demand' (AVOD), offering you a choice of over 30 blockbusters and 80 popular short features viewable at any time. There are also 20 channels to choose from, including movies, sports, award-winning documentaries and CNN daily news.
Amenity kits: Acca Kappa products from Italy and Victorinox travel bags from Switzerland (men). Darphin products from France and Ipa-Nima travel bags from Vietnam (women), as well as toothbrushes, toothpaste and mouthwash.

Best seats and service in far east, but worst frequent flyer program Marco Polo Asia Miles, as it offers no bonus miles if you actually fly CX as opposed to other oneworld airlines, so no miles incentive to actually fly CX, as opposed to BA, AA, QF, SA and the like more

Cathay First Class from Hong Kong. Slightly late in boarding but excellent information in the lounge. On board comfort exemplary. Lovely variety of food which was tasty, well cooked and beautifully presented. Cathay's 9 seat First Class cabin is well thought out & makes traveling a pleasure. more
